Prairie Lane Stables offers large dry lots with individual shelters and waterers which can accomodate one or more horses. Board for one horse in an individual dry lot is $235 per month, effective July 1, 2008. This fee includes grain and hay feedings twice a day. If more than one horse is placed in a lot, then monthly board will be discounted accordingly.
Amenities include: a lighted indoor arena, large outdoor arena, wash stall, separate grain and hay stalls, sick stall and a mare/foal stall area.
We feed Patriot Grain Products manufactured by ADM Alliance Nutrition (www.admani.com/AllianceEquine) delivered by HCH Feed Tack & Trophy, Honey Creek, Iowa. High quality grass and alfalfa hay is purchased from local farmers.
When pasture is plentiful, the horses are turned out to graze almost daily on a rotational basis in small groups. Turnout shall be at the Facility's discretion depending on weather and pasture conditions during the grassy season.
The Facility also provides an area for parking trailers, if needed.
